I’m still relatively new to Boxy Charm. This is only my 3rd month subscribing to their service but I’ve had good experiences so far. Boxy charm has been featuring at least one new and popular makeup product in each box. I’ve enjoyed receiving products that I wouldn’t typically buy on my on in both of my past boxes. After trying most of the products in the past boxes, I’ve started to get excited about receiving the next month’s subscription. I now look forward to opening my boxes each month to see which great items I’ll receive next.
On that note, I was a little nervous about this past month’s box. Boxy Charm has been sending boxes that seem to fit my makeup style and needs; after 3 consecutive months of amazing boxes, I’ve been waiting for the ball to drop. With most other subscriptions, I’d received a few great months of decent products and right when I start getting excited about the boxes being perfect for me, I end up receiving several months of boxes with products that aren’t a good fit. I keep waiting for that trend to happen with Boxy Charm. Fortunately, just as my previous months’ subscriptions, my September Boxy Charm Subscription was filled with 5 products that I wouldn’t have automatically purchased but definitely enjoyed trying. The items in this month’s box included Pretty Vulgar’s “Nightingale Smokey Eyeshadow” Palette, Butter London’s “Stroke of WOW!” Roll on eyeliner, LORAC’s PRO Liquid Lipstick, Alamar Cosmetics’ “Ojitos Brush Set” and Laura Geller’s Baked Blush n Brighten. Although some of these products were out of my comfort zone, I appreciated trying a few of these so much that I included them in my makeup case for regular use. I think Boxy Charm came through with another amazing box. Here are more details about the products from this month’s subscription box along with my experience with each of them.
Pretty Vulgar Nightingale Smokey Eyeshadow Palette
With Pretty Vulgar being such a well-received company, I’d considered investing in several of their products. My expectations were not let down with this high-quality, easily blend-able eyeshadow palette. It’s filled with 12 matte and shimmer eyeshadow shades and that would create the perfect Smokey eye on most skin tones. The colors in this palette are highly pigmented and require very little product to achieve your desired look. The only con of this product is that the eyeshadows have a lot of fallout and include more shimmer shades than matte shade which isn’t typically as beneficial for smokey eye looks. Butter London Stroke of WOW! Roll-on Liner
Since I wasn’t familiar with Butter London, I didn’t know what to expect from their product. After testing out this brand and their unique product for myself, I loved the experience and made a plan to purchase other products from them in the future. This roll-on eyeliner was designed with a small roller ball applicator that is perfect for rolling out countless eyeliner looks. The shade I received is called “Pitch Black” & it definitely showed up intensely unlike many other black eyeliners. The high pigmentation of this product’s formula alone is a bonus, but the tiny amount of product that is required to complete a look makes it a marvelous product choice. This product is also easy to use and long lasting which makes it even more highly favorable. I was so impressed with this product that I added it to my makeup kit for regular use. This product is definitely one of my favorite products in this month’s box; I also intend to purchase this eyeliner in other colors to add to my collection. LORAC’s PRO Liquid Lipstick
Although LORAC is a popular high-end makeup brand, I’ve heard a lot of great things about some of their products but never had the opportunity to try any of them for myself. LORAC is mostly praised for their amazing eyeshadow palettes. Their products are well received because of their pigmentation and blend ability; therefore, I had high expectations for this liquid lipstick before I’d even opened the box. The shade I received in this product is Black Cherry. This beautiful dark burgundy lip product definitely surpassed my expectations. At first glance, the product seems to have a glossy finish but the formula dries down to a matte finish that lasts all day long. This beautiful lipstick smoothly glides on your lips with ease and only takes a little of the product to give you the look you desire. LORAC offer’s their PRO liquid lipstick in 8 shades that retail at a price of $19. Alamar Cosmetics Ojitos Brush Trio 
I wasn’t familiar with this brand to know what to expect from their brushes. However, within a few uses, I was instantly a fan of Alamar Cosmetics. The brushes included in the Ojitos set included a flat liner brush, fluffy blending brush & round flat concealer brush which is perfect for creating cut crease looks. The brushes sleek, easy to use & perfect for creating endless eye makeup looks. The brushes are high quality and evens exceeded the quality of several other brushes I’ve tried through subscriptions. This set is possibly the best brushes I’ve received thus far from a monthly subscription service. The soft, dense brush hairs help you to get full control of your makeup for a flawless outcome. I enjoyed using these brushes so much that I’ve added them to my kit for everyday use. Besides the quality, the best thing about these brushes is the price; these brushes can be purchased at a retail price of $18 online at alamarcosmetics.com.
Laura Geller’s Baked Blush n Brighten
I’ve always been a fan of Laura Geller products. I’ve tested a lot of this brand’s products in stores and enjoyed most of the products I tried; although, I have never owned any of her products besides the one I received from this’s months Boxy Charm subscription. I must say, this product definitely held up nicely to the other products I sampled in the stores. Even though it’s not a product I would typically have purchased for myself before trying it, I absolutely love Laura Geller’s Baked Blush n Brighten. The formula of this product is creamy and soft so it simply glides on to your skin. The product blends into your skin seamlessly to provide a flawless glowing finish. This blush product is highly pigmented and long lasting. Laura Geller offers this amazing product in 7 shades at a retail price of $28. This beautiful product can be purchased online at laurageller.com and here at Amazon.com as well as online and Instore with some cosmetic retailers. 
After trying all of the products that were included in the September Boxy Charm Subscription box, I can definitely say that these products were well worth the investment. Boxy Charm seems to be one of my best makeup subscription services by far; they provide hot makeup items that may not be in your comfort zone but are all worth experiencing. The total cost of all of the items in this month’s subscription box is $ 19. To receive such a large value of high-quality makeup in your mailbox every month is definitely worth every bit of the $21 subscription fee.
