Hello Beauties and Gents,

I’m Charis Andrell, a full-time blogger, makeup enthusiast, aspiring makeup artist and most importantly, mother of an amazing little girl.  I have an obsession with makeup, beauty, skincare, and spa treatments! I also love helping others extend their knowledge on all things beauty. My love for makeup and teaching others has been a part of my life for quite some time, but it took me a while to realize that it was the path destined for my life. I started off by truly believing that Finance/Marketing was my calling; I obtained a B.S. degree in Finance and went on to earn my M.B.A. a few years later. As much as I love finance and marketing, my heart has always been with teaching others; therefore, I subsequently set out to obtain a Ph. D. in Finance to be qualified to help others understand the subjects that were the most intriguing to me yet the most complicated for most. Before I was able to complete my degree, severe health issues brought on by complications from an auto accident caused me to put that goal on hold.

My love for beauty products began to thrive more than ever after that life-changing event caused me to begin spending most of my time at home in bed. Playing with beauty products helped me to start my, “If I look good, I’ll feel good” mantra. I began purchasing makeup, facial and nail care products and the more I experimented with them, the more I begin to fall deeper in love with the way they made me feel. When a woman feels beautiful, there’s nothing or no one that can stop her! As I began to put my love for makeup to use more often, my love for beauty products also began growing into more of an obsession. Before I knew it, I’d become just as knowledgeable, if not more, about some beauty products as several of the makeup artist I encountered; I’d find myself telling them about the newest products and whether or not they were worth trying on their clients. Eventually, I begin helping other women feel beautiful too by sharing my makeup knowledge with them. As my knowledge grew, my applications skills did as well; it helped me to realize that enhancing beauty and sharing product knowledge was my passion. I decided to embrace my passion by starting this blog, so I would be able to share some of that information and my experiences with not only the people I encounter in my small town but individuals all over the world. I’ve also decided to further my education and skill by receiving formal training in makeup and skincare; therefore, I plan to share some of the things I learn as well as my journey towards becoming a Skincare Specialist and Internationally Certified Makeup Artist here with you too.
